Nurses – in a protest

Nurses in the state hospitals within the country will stage a protest at noon today to inquire about the non-resolution of their issues. The Government Services Nurses Union says in a statement that the main event will take place in front of the Colombo National Hospital.

A Tamil group is planning to protest a visit by the Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to Australia former admiral Thisara Samarasinghe. The High Commissioner will be visiting the Christian Congregation Australia Church today, Saturday, February 4.
